Springville High School play
“The Diviners” by Jim Leonard Jr. is touching story set at the beginning of the Great Depression in the little farming town of Zion, Indiana.
It is the story of Buddy Layman, a mentally handicapped boy with the ability to divine (to find) water, a backsliding preacher named C.C. Showers, Buddy’s family and the good people of Zion.
This moving production presents the idea of faith, hope, recovery and truth.
Citizens are invited to see it at 7 p.m. on Friday, Mar. 6, Saturday, Mar. 7, and Monday, Mar. 9. in the Springville High School auditorium. Admission is $4 for students and children, and $5 for adults.
