COOKING CLASSES AT UVU

Community Education is offering three cooking classes this semester as part of the non-profit partnership with Alpine School District; Cooking: Chinese, Cooking: Vegetarian and Meals in Minutes.

Meals in Minutes will revolutionize family meal time. This class teaches how to involve your family in planning strategies, stocking your pantry, and advanced meal preparation and presentation skills.

Students will leave the class with menu plans, shopping guide and the enthusiasm to bring their family back to the dinner table.

Tuition includes instruction, work/recipe book and tasting. The course will be offered Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., beginning Jan. 29 and ending Feb. 26.

Course cost is $59 and is held at The Wooden Spoon Kitchen at 241 Main Street in American Fork.

Cooking: Vegetarian is designed to teach how to cook healthy, well balanced meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner and desert with substituted ingredients. Taste testing is part of this class experience and is taught by the author of “The Millennial Vegetarian Cookbook.”

Students will learn how to cook in a way that will benefit their familywith happy and healthy bodies. The course will be offered Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., beginning Jan. 29 and ending Feb. 26, The course cost is $105 and is held at Mountain View High at 665 W. Center in Orem.

Cooking: Chinese will introduce several Chinese dishes and provideinstruction on how to prepare them and will also be instructed on how to pronounce actual Chinese words.

The course will be held every Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m., start Feb. 10 and running through Mar. 3.

The course cost is $59 and is held at Mountain View High at 665 W. Center in Orem.
