Springville Youth City Council applications

By Daily Herald - | Jan 28, 2009

Applications are now available for the 2009-2010 Springville Youth City Council. If you are currently in 9th, 10th or 11th grade and want to be part of something really special, please complete an application and return it to Keri Gordon by Feb. 14.

The Springville Youth City Council is a group whose focus is to offer opportunities for teens to gain a greater understanding and appreciation for their community, it’s citizens and it’s leaders through service and interaction. We strive to emulate our elected officials and city employees through unique opportunities.

Youth City Council members elect their Mayor, Recorder, Historian and Communication Specialist. These positions require additional commitment, but every council member has leadership opportunities and numerous responsibilities.

Members of the Youth City Council serve one year. They may continue their experience if they desire.

Those interested in additional information about the YCC program, please pick up an application at the Springville Junior High or High School, or you may get one through a current member of the Springville YCC, or you may email Keri Gordon at www.kgordon@connect2.com., or phone her at 801-489-3455.

The Springville Youth City Council program is currently looking for additional adult assistance. If you are interested in serving with the greatest youth on the planet, please contact Keri Gordon.

Starting at $4.32/week.
