Brooklyn Howell, daughter of Angie & Doug Howell of Springville, received her Young Womanhood Recognition Award a couple of months ago. She is a member of Springville 7th Ward. Her favorite project was collecting and sorting various toiletry itmes to be used in making personal hygine kits. The kits were assembled with help from the 7th ward youth. Almost 400 kits were donated to the Provo Women’s Shelter.
Megan Anne Long, age 17, daughter of James and Danelle Long of Springville, received her Young Womanhood Recognition Award on March 1, 2009. She is a member of the Kolob 4th Ward.
Her project was creating a Faith Garden, Making a Temple cross-stitch and constructing 2 oak night stands.
