All we have ever wanted is to live in a home that makes us feel good. Who knew that women base their self-worth on how their home looks? We didn’t know that. We just felt terrible. The more chaotic our homes were, the sadder we became. Our only thought was that something had to be wrong with us. The good news is that we are not alone. We are not lazy or stupid! We can learn; we just have to learn differently from born organized people. Keeping house comes naturally to them.
Chances are you were raised by or have a born organized person in your life. I believe that this gene skips generations. Thank goodness it skipped us! I wouldn’t have it any other way! We are truly blessed! We have the best of both worlds! We can learn how to be organized but it is very difficult for born organized people to let go and be creative. We can help them too. It takes all of us. I could not do what I do without born organized people to help me. I am glad we all have our talents.
Yes being sidetracked is a talent! We have allowed our creativity to get stuck in the chaos that the excitement has fostered. It is only when we get the things done stand in the way of our creative genius; that we can play with our talents without the guilt.
You know that guilt! The pile of dishes in the sink, mount washmore and that daily question, “What’s for dinner”, these undone things get in the way of our creativity. They get in the way of having fun. As long as those dishes are in the sink; we don’t give ourselves permission to go out and play. We say ugly things to ourselves for even wanting to play. Then there is the other side of guilt!
We just give up and play all the time! We don’t think we have time to keep house so we don’t do anything. The chaos fills every area of our life. Eventually we sink lower and lower into depths of guilt and anxiety and eventually depression. All because we didn’t think we had time!
I have a simple little method that will help you get rid of your guilt and stress, then free you to be who you always wanted to be! It all starts with shining your kitchen sink. This one habit leads to another one and when you string habits together; they become routines. Your routines release the bonds of guilt and you are free to create!
Those simple routines become the framework for your fun! I have watched Born Organized people and they get stuff done! Sometimes they work themselves too hard and don’t take time to play. I want you to be in both worlds. We can eliminate the guilt by doing what needs to be done before we play.
I am not talking about a spotless house either! Just simple routines will be enough to release the guilt and FLY! Finally Loving Yourself opens the doors to your creativity.
