A few weeks ago, our photo staff got some much needed new gear.  After sending our previous cameras, lenses, and other gear in for repairs far too many times, the paper gave us the go ahead to get two cameras, two laptops, two lenses, and all sorts of accessories.  I could go on and on about how appreciative the photo staff is to have the new gear but instead I’ll just use a photo from a recent high school football playoff that demonstrates the benefits of a fast autofocus combined with the ability to shoot ten photos a second.
