On Thursday night I had the chance to shoot the Miss Teen Extraordinaire Pageant held for girls with special needs at Spanish Fork High School. I had never shot – or been to – a pageant before, and I have to say I never thought it would be so much fun. The girls’ excitement as they got ready backstage was contagious, and I found myself grinning along with them as they had their hair and makeup done. Jenny, a 17-year-old contestant, was goofing around with her friends when I got this photo, and looking at it now still makes me smile.
