Mountain America CU increases technology expertise in branches — Mountain America Credit Union has put a trained “technology champion” in each of its 76 branches to assist members and answer questions as members take advantage of Mountain America’s mobile and online banking services.
In the first third of 2013, Mountain America saw more than 35,000 new mobile app downloads, with nearly 85,000 active app users currently. In addition, the credit union is averaging more than 8,000 new users monthly of its “My Money Manager” online personal financial management tool. Profire Energy expands Houston operations — Profire Energy, Inc., a Lindon-based technology company that manufactures, installs and services burner management systems and other combustion management technologies for the oil and gas industry, signed a lease agreement for a new warehousing and distribution center in Katy, Texas. The 5,000-foot facility is located near the I-10W/Energy Corridor, and is expected to facilitate greater storage and distribution capacities within the Texas region.

Nomination deadline extended — We have extended the deadline to nominate your peers, colleagues, or other notable women. The Women Tech Awards recognizes technology-focused women who are driving innovation, influencing technology companies, and are passionate about the community. Those nominated should have ties to Utah, but are not required to be a Utah resident. Finalists and recipients will be announced September at the Women Tech Awards luncheon.
