100 Utah companies rank on prestigious 2017 Inc. 5000 list

More than 100 Utah companies ranked well on the 2017 Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. Solar companies topped the rankings for Utah, with Provo’s Ion Solar ranked at No. 24, and St. George’s Legend Solar close behind at No. 27. Founded in 2013, Ion Solar has experienced a 9,507 percent growth over three years. Legend Solar has experienced a three-year growth of 9,222 percent.

“With explosive growth comes a whole host of challenges,” said Legend Solar owner and co-founder Shane Perkins. “But we’re grateful for the honor and we look forward to continuing our strong growth into the future. We’d also like to thank the homeowners throughout Utah, Oregon, Nevada and Wyoming who made the choice to own their own power and go with Legend Solar in 2016.”

Rounding out the top 100, Lehi’s Boomsourcing came in at No. 54, Salt Lake City’s American Business Brokers earned the No. 89 spot, and Salt Lake City’s Signs.com was ranked in the 100th spot. Most of Utah’s companies on the list are no strangers to the honor, for example, Health Catalyst, at No. 318, has been listed on the Inc. 5000 list for five straight years. This is a milestone achieved by only 10 percent of Inc. 5000 companies, earning it a place on Inc.’s honor roll.
