To celebrate the launch of its U.S. Latina Market on Thursday, Younique partnered with Centro Hispano in Provo to provide toys to local children.

Younique’s Lehi corporate employees, and those visiting for the new Latina market launch event, donated enough toys for 300 children serviced through Centro Hispano. According to Abraham Hernandez, executive director of Centro Hispano, the Provo organization will hand out those toys during its Three Kings event Jan. 6.

“I was really excited when Younique called and told us they chose us for their charity this season,” Hernandez said. “Younique sees the Latino community, they value the Latino community, and they empower the Latino community.”

Adriana Alvarez, vice president of Latina market sales for Younique, was also excited about the partnership, because, as she explained Thursday, “I couldn’t be prouder to help my own community.” Through its various programs, Centro Hispano provides information, education and resources to almost 4,000 Latino people each year in Utah County.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better partner. Centro Hispano’s mission to assist Latino families and help keep our traditions alive is similar to our mission here at Younique,” Alvarez said. “We are a company founded with the mission to uplift, empower and validate women throughout the world, and now the U.S. Latina market.”

Alvarez is also looking forward to the year-long coast-to-coast tour she will do starting in January as part of the launch of the Latina market. Younique’s purpose is to uplift and empower women, and she is excited to share that with Latino communities across the U.S.

“Younique is committed to helping the Latino community by offering business opportunities aimed at women to become independent business owners,” she said. “This will create a community where U.S. Latina women can embrace their culture and their language and be successful. We really are crossing borders and helping women all over the world.”

Centro Hispano has served Utah County for more than 15 years, and provides services geared towards health and wellness, translation and other assistance, and a low-income taxpayer clinic.

Starting at $4.32/week.
