Alexander's Print Advantage recently announced a 23,000 square foot addition to its Lindon building, expected to be complete by January 2019.

Podium named an Inc. Magazine Best Workplace

Podium, the Lehi-based customer communication platform for local businesses, announced it has been named one of Inc. Magazine’s Best Workplaces for 2018, the publication’s third annual ranking in the fast-growing private company sector.

Inc. Magazine’s Best Workplaces for 2018 Award is the result of a wide-ranging and comprehensive measurement of private American companies that have created exceptional workplaces through vibrant cultures, deep employee engagement and stellar benefits. Out of thousands of applicants, Inc. singled out just under 300 winning companies.

“We’ve worked hard to build a culture for our team members that makes them proud to work at Podium,” said Eric Rea, co-founder and CEO at Podium. “We provide a platform for our clients that builds positive engagements and creates stronger relationships with their customers, and we do our best to mirror that approach within our company. We’re humbled to have Inc. Magazine’s recognition as one of the best workplaces of 2018, and we look forward to continuing the journey with our talented and dedicated employees.”

Podium started in Rea’s one-bedroom apartment in 2014 and has since expanded to more than 290 employees.

The complete list of Inc. Magazine’s Best Workplaces for 2018 winning companies can be found in the June 2018 edition of Inc. Magazine.

Print company announces new building expansion

Jeff Alexander, founder and president of Alexander’s Print Advantage in Lindon, announced a new building expansion project at their current production site. The addition will increase the existing 45,000-square-foot facility by 23,000 square feet.

“We are very excited about this new expansion. The additional space will give us the capacity to continue to grow and proactively anticipate the needs of our clients just as we have over the last 40 years,” Alexander said in a press release. “By leveraging new technology with our print services, we have experienced strong growth over the last few years. This new addition is the result of that growth and pursuing new market opportunities.”

The company has been in its current location since 1998. Construction is scheduled to take approximately eight months with plans to be completed in January. The expansion will provide extra warehouse capacity, space for additional equipment, and jobs for future employees. Alexander said they expect adding an additional 40-50 new jobs over the next year.

Four companies announced for Deal Forum on June 14

Venture Capital announced the four companies who will be participating in the Deal Forum on June 14 in Provo. The Deal Forum is a live pitch event for entrepreneurs who are seeking capital for their ventures. The four companies that participating will be Infuze Hydration, Eco Pallet, Bend Labs and 4th Wall FX.

The presenters, hand-selected from the VentureCapital.org Cooperative Venturing Network, have been paired with a Cooperative Venturing Team to work with in preparation for this live pitch event. The investor panelist will be made up of active investors from Utah’s angel and venture capital community. After each 10-minute pitch, each member of the investor panel will provide their industry insights and personal feedback.
