One way to judge a company is how well-liked it is by employees.

For the first time, Forbes put together a ranking of best employers by state — pinpointing the organizations liked best by employees. Forbes partnered with market research company Statista to collect and analyze the data, which is divided into lists for each state.

Five Utah County-based organizations made the list of top employers in Utah — Utah Valley University (9th), Brigham Young University (19th), Nebo School District (20th), Alpine School District (29th) and NuSkin Enterprises (30th).

Topping the list of top employers in Utah were the University of Utah, Delta Airlines, Utah State University, University of Utah Health Care and the United States Department of Defense.

Other statewide organizations on the list have employees in Utah County, including America First Credit Union, Discover Financial Services, Associated Food Stores, Marriott International, Harmons, Intermountain Healthcare and Kroger.
