Brigham Young University’s new flagship creamery opened to customers last week immediately west of its former location.

Holding the same official name as the previous creamery, the BYU Creamery on Ninth East is 71% larger than its predecessor and includes covered patio seating.

“The Creamery on Ninth East is a very popular and frequently visited site on the BYU campus,” BYU administration vice president and CFO Steve Hafen said in a news release. “We’re excited for students, employees, alumni and the broader community to experience this new and improved facility.”

The original BYU Creamery welcomed more than 1.3 million guests annually, according to the university, serving well-known ice cream flavors such as Chocolate Graham Canyon and LaVell’s Vanilla.

The new location, which was first announced in 2024, will have more grocery items, a larger dining area and an expanded grill area with a covered patio, heaters in the winter and misters in the summer.

“Customers can use the new walk-up window to order outside,” the news release said.

Starting at $4.32/week.
