Golfers in Utah County have been waiting patiently to get the news that Topgolf in Vineyard in finally getting ready to open in the early part of December.

In a Facebook post, Hun Kim, Top Golf director of operations in Vineyard, said, “There’s an amazing view of the mountains from Topgolf Vineyard’s tee lines, with breathtaking views of (Utah) Lake. Vineyard City will be the mecca of entertainment in Utah Valley.”

Before then, the popular entertainment and sports venue is completing the final touches on its building — and more importantly, they are hiring and hoping to bring on 400 employees before the doors open.

According to job descriptions, Topgolf is looking for “high-energy” individuals ages 16 and up to staff a variety of positions, including dishwashers, servers, bay hosts, bussers, bartenders, cooks, porters, office administrators, maintenance technicians, golf instructors and event sales team members.

In addition to more than 70 all-weather bays, private events spaces, a bar and restaurant, Topgolf in Vineyard will also feature a 12-hole mini-golf course.

Topgolf is an excellent addition to Vineyard, elevating entertainment and building momentum in one of Utah’s largest regional developments, here in Utah County,” said Vineyard Mayor Julie Fullmer. “They have a great community culture, and will employ hundreds of our residents throughout the area. They are an engaged and caring partner, with a corporate standard of giving back to their communities.”

“We are ready to open this venue, bring in friends and family, and experience Topgolf. We are looking forward to their indoor games, outdoor activities, gathering places and other amenities. Their company’s signature Toptracer technology is such an enhancement to the games, and will make the space even more incredible,” Fullmer added.

The development that houses Topgolf — the Yard — is quickly becoming a community center for locals and tourists alike. Steve Hutchings, X Development’s director of real estate, said that he and business partner Eric Towner along with their team and investment partners “are in the business of building high-growth communities in ways that cultivate connection, premier experiences and responsible growth. Mayor Fullmer is fantastic to work with. It’s been an honor working with her, the City and the community on this project.

“Eric Towner and I, along with the entire X Development team, are thrilled to be bringing top-notch experiences like Topgolf to Vineyard. We are excited to see Topgolf completed very soon,” Hutchings said.

In addition to Topgolf, more casual food eateries and businesses will be coming to the Yard location.
