Quilt Show

Art Show

When: 10 a.m.-8 p.m.

Where: American Fork Library

What: Local artists gather to showcase their best work. Register online at www.steeldaysaf.com before July 5. It’s $5 per entry and is limited to three entries per person for adults and $2 per entry with a max of two entries for youth.

Garden Tour

When: Noon-8 p.m.

Where: Various locations

What: The American Fork City Beautification Committee highlights some of the best kept gardens in the city during this open house tour. Visit www.steeldaysaf.com for a full list of properties available to visit.

City of Fun Carnival

When: 10 a.m.-10:30 p.m.

Where: Robinson Park

Saturday, July 8

Art Show

When: 10 a.m.-8 p.m.

Where: American Fork Library

Quilt Show

When: 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Where: Senior Citizens Center, 54 E. Main St.

Car Show, Car Cruise, Ugly Truck Contest

When: Noon-8 p.m.

Where: Rotary Park

What: Hot rods, speedsters and ugly trucks gather for a fantastic display at Rotary Park. The cars are free to view, but those interested in showing off their rides must pay a $20 registration fee at the time of the event. The Ugly Truck Contest is free but a $20 fee applies to those who wish to be in the car cruise. Winners of the contest will be allowed in the parade Saturday, July 15.

Monday, July 10

Art Show

When: 10 a.m.-8 p.m.

Where: American Fork Library

American Fork Symphony Concert

When: 7 p.m.

Where: Amphitheatre at Quail Cove Park, 851 E. 700 North

What: Join the American Fork Symphony as they present a “musical celebration of America” under the direction of conductor Shauna Smith.

Tuesday, July 11

Coed Kickball Tournament

When: 6 p.m.

Where: Art Dye Park, 550 E. 1000 North

What: The game starts early and goes until an obvious winner emerges. Registration costs $80 per team and can be done online at www.steeldaysaf.com.

Baby Contest

When: 10 a.m.-Noon

Where: Rotary Park

What: The contest is for children ages 0-24 months. Registration is $15 with late registration going on until 9:30 a.m. on the day of the event. All registration must be completed online at www.steeldaysaf.com as there will be no cash registrations accepted.

Wednesday, July 12

Discount Swim Day

When: 12:30-10 p.m.

Where: American Fork Fitness Center

What: The cost of swimming at the fitness center is reduced to $2 per person.

Zumba

When: 6:30-8 p.m.

Where: American Fork Fitness Center parking lot

What: The event is free to the public.

Yoga

When: 8-9 p.m.

Where: Pony League Baseball Field across from the American Fork Fitness Center.

What: Yoga is a new addition to the weeklong celebration and is free to the public.

Thursday, July 13

Tea with the Queen

When: Noon-1 p.m.

Where: Amphitheatre at Quail Cove Park, 851 E. 700 North

Soap Box Derby

When: 6-8 p.m.

Where: 740 N. 20 East

What: Those who are interested in participating must register by Saturday, July 1 no exceptions. Registration is $15 per car and is done through www.steeldaysaf.com. Click on the soap box derby icon under the events tab to be redirected to the registration page.

Friday, July 14

Youth Dance

When: 8-10:30 p.m.

Where: 20 N. Church St.

What: The dance is for ages 14-18, and the cost of attendance is $1.

Movie in the Park

When: Dusk

Where: Art Dye Park, 550 E. 1000 North

What: This year’s movie is Disney’s “Moana.” The cost is free, and there will be free popcorn and drinks.

Saturday, July 15

Marching Band Breakfast

When: 6:30-9 a.m.

Where: Fresh Market parking lot, 135 E. Main St.

Steel Days 5k/10k

When: 7 a.m.

Where: Start and finish at 50 N. Center St.

What: Check www.steeldaysrun.com for pricing and early registration.

Grand Parade

When: 9:30 a.m.

Where: Main Street & 100 East

Picnic in the Park

When: 5-8 p.m.

Where: Art Dye Park, 550 E. 1000 North

What: Come to Art Dye early and reserve your spot because this event is bursting with fun. There’s games, food trucks and live music. It’s free to the public and a great way to reserve an early spot for the Big Show and fireworks.

Big Show and Fireworks

When: 8-10 p.m.

Where: Art Dye Park, 550 E. 1000 North

What: Salt Lake City based LAHJIT is performing at the Big Show. The concert is free with fireworks beginning immediately after the show ends.
