The Lehi Round-Up is all set to ride back into town this summer, Saturday, June 23 through Sunday, July 1. Featuring an array of family-friendly events including picnics, parades, and performing animals, everyone is likely to find something to do in Lehi over the course of the week.

“We want everyone to feel like there’s something for them,” said Melanie Hansen, the event coordinator for the Round-Up.

Many well-loved favorites are back this year, including the baby contest, which will be held on Tuesday, the outdoor movie and barbecue on Wednesday night, which will feature the movie “The Sandlot” this year as well as a band and bounce houses, and of course, the rodeo which will be held Thursday through Saturday.

“We love our parades here in Lehi,” said Hansen, explaining that the Round-Up this year will boast three different parades on three different days. Thursday kicks off the parades with the stock parade, starting at Wines Park and going to the Rodeo Grounds. Friday’s parade is a miniature one, with miniature floats made by residents based on the theme “In the good old days.” The parade route is the same on Friday and Saturday, both parades beginning at Wines Park and ending at Lehi High School. The Grand Parade is held Saturday, also known as Family Fun Day.

Back again after a successful first run last year is the “Animals Got Talent” show, comprised mostly of dogs, who will show off their skills Thursday in a contest judged by the local police department.

“We decided to bring that one back, it was a lot of fun,” Hansen said. “I loved the ‘Animals Got Talent’ last year. It’s a smaller event but it’s a lot of fun.”

New this year, revived after some time away, is Lehi Idol, a singing contest with cash prizes. The event will be hosted by former American Idol contestant Carmen Rasmusen Herbert.

“We’re pretty excited about that one,” Hansen said. “Lehi Idol is back.”

In addition to these events, the week also includes a 10K, 5K, and kid’s mile, lots of live music, a golf tournament, bingo, a car show, and much more. More details can be found online at

“Our goal is just to celebrate Lehi,” Hansen said. “Our hope is to make sure everyone gets out and gets to know their community a little better. It should be a good time.”

Starting at $4.32/week.
