Kranky Franks

By Daily Herald - | Nov 12, 2009

Who can stay away from a place called Kranky Franks? It’s a hot dog joint in a small old shop on Springville’s Main Street, with a short, simple menu. If you’ve got $4 and an empty stomach, Kranky has a dog and a drink combo that fits the bill. Choose from a regular hot dog and a polish dog, which is a little spicier. The dogs are served in long, soft buns that hold together well. The signature sauce here is called Dawg sauce, and it’s a sweet barbecue sauce that seems to bring out the best in the dogs. Kranky’s also offers a kids meal for $3. It makes a perfect lunch stop.
