Boudreaux’s Bistro

A recent visit to Boudreaux’s Bistro in Payson has left us ravin’ about Cajun cuisine. Boudreaux’s offers a slice of Southern comfort in south Utah County. We highly recommend the Red Beans With Sausage — a delightful combination served over rice — as well as the Chicken Étoufeé and the Jambalaya. Another hit was the Deli Sliced Ham Po’ Boy sandwich, served on New Orleans french bread and piled high with fixings. We weren’t brave enough to try any alligator sausage — but we loved the Fried Candy Bar for dessert.

Mia’s Italian Ice

A dessert oasis awaits the savvy treat seeker at Mia’s Italian Ice in Lehi. You can grab a virgin Italian ice, but you’ll probably want to also sample the Italian shake or the Mamma Mia, both of which contain smooth, creamy custard. Actually, you’ll probably want to sample a little of everything. Mia’s is a haven of chocolate-dipped, candy-coated and fruit-flavored goodness. Be sure to save room — lots and lots of room — for a custard cupcake. The custard cupcake is the Mother of All Desserts.
