Dining Capsules: Sora Asian Dining

Sora Asian Dining

This fairly new restaurant in downtown Provo exudes a certain style. Upon entering, we were immediately impressed with the sleek feel of the main dining room. We also enjoyed the simplicity of the menu and our extremely friendly server. The favorite dish we sampled was the Cheese Basil Tonkatsu — which featured a thin slice of pork with light cheese and basil rolled up like sushi and deep fried. We also enjoyed the BBQ Chicken Rice Bowl and the Teriyaki Chicken. Bananas Foster was the perfect dessert topper for our meal. We would love to go back and try even more menu options.

Curryosity

All curries are not created equal, but at Curryosity in Provo, all curries are created equally tasty. The curries are mild, medium or spicy — something for every palate — but none of them are so spicy as to be overwhelming. We especially enjoyed the Korma, an Indian curry with a yogurt base, and the Gang Masaman, a mild Thai curry with potatoes and carrots. There’s also a cool side called curry bread that’s deep-fried and apt to disappear from your plate as quickly as it arrives, and you can wash it all down with a smooth, creamy mango lassi, a yogurt-based drink sort of like a milkshake.
