Recently Reviewed: L and L Hawaiian Barbecue

By Staff | Apr 18, 2013

Want a taste of Hawaiian barbecue but don’t have the budget to hop on a plane to the Islands? A visit to L&L Hawaiian Barbecue may be in order. L&L is known for its plate lunches — which feature an entree, two scoops of rice and one scoop of macaroni salad (there’s also a mini version with just one scoop of rice). When we asked her opinion, the cashier suggested the Chicken Katsu plate, which was indeed the best item we sampled. We also enjoyed the Fried Mahi Mahi, the Hawaiian BBQ Mix plate, and the BBQ Chicken Rice Bowl. One thing we didn’t care for was the Macaroni Salad. We would ask about the possibility of subbing another item for that on future visits.
