China Village
There’s an extensive menu at China Village, which probably serves some form of just about everyone’s favorite Chinese food. We had a round of chicken lettuce wraps (sort of like a Chinese burrito) to start before sampling the sesame beef and sweet-and-sour chicken, both of which are tasty. One thing that’s different at China Village is the General Tso’s Chicken — perhaps a different military commander with the same name handed down the recipe. The unique orange sauce has a spicy kick, while the meat is cut into smaller pieces and breaded more lightly than is the norm. It was a little like eating General Tso’s Popcorn Chicken. We also enjoyed a serving of snow peas and beef, and a serving of cashew chicken. All of the meats at China Village were well cooked and well seasoned, and there was plenty of rice to keep everyone happy.

tortilla.bar
If you are seeking traditional Utah County Mexican food, as can readily be found at dozens of area restaurants, then tortilla.bar (yes, the letters are lowercase) is not for you. If, however, you want a completely unique Mexican-based dining experience, from the interior itself to the over-the-top service, from the presentation of the meal to the out-there distinct flavors of the food itself, then this is a place you need to try. We especially recommend the Hanger Steak Taco and Avocado Taco, but also liked the Molotes (polenta dumplings with your choice of meat) and the Black Bean Soup. Portions are quite small for their price point, so you might want to order some churros for dessert.
