Flipside Cafe
Having a hard time deciding whether you want an intimate date night or just a healthy casual dining experience? Turns out you can get both at Flipside Cafe in American Fork. Throughout most of the month, Flipside Cafe offers a wide selection of sandwiches, soups, gourmet salads and a few grilled specialties. The twist, though, is one evening a month, the restaurant closes its doors to regular traffic, takes a break from its regular menu and instead offers an elaborate three- or five-course meal during two reservation-only sessions. The cafe also serves breakfast. Check it out!

Laura’s Kitchen
At Laura’s Kitchen in Provo, you can get more tacos for your money on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, when the price is $0.99 instead of $1.50. It’s something to consider if you enjoy taqueria-style tacos, with corn tortillas, fresh fixings at the salsa bar, and authentic Mexican meats: asada (beef), carnitas (pork), chorizo (chicken) and pastor (pork) and more. Laura’s also offers many other Mexican favorites on an everyday basis, including torta and tostadas, and has an expanded menu of weekends, with enchiladas, sopes, tamales, pozole and more.

Five Guys Burgers and Fries
The menu at Five Guys Burgers and Fries is pretty much stated in its title. Throw in four different kinds of hot dogs, a trio of sandwich offerings and fountain drinks, and you’ve got the whole shebang covered. The joint fairly bubbled with a boisterous energy. We really loved our Bacon Cheeseburger. One great thing about Five Guys is that all the toppings are free, so you can truly have it your way. The BLT Sandwich, Kosher Style Hot Dog and french fries were also hits.
