Hungry Howie’s

This national chain hangs its hat on flavored crust pizza, offering eight different flavors — which are all free, allowing you to mix and match as many as you want. When we got our various pizzas home — Hungry Howie’s is a takeout or delivery enterprise — we discovered that the flavored crust pizza is indeed all it’s cracked up to be. The various flavors added a lot, turning those last several bites of nothing but crust from pizza to pizzazz. There are many delicious pizzas to try, and also many delectable sides, including calzones, rolls, breadsticks, wings and salads.

The Hitching Post Bar & Grill

If you’re needing some greasy spoon, diner-type food, The Hitching Post in Orem is worth trying. The restaurant off Geneva Road is packed with down-home charm, and they offer the classic diner items — pancakes, omelets, burgers, etc. — at reasonable prices. The bar and grill side of The Hitching Post (the other half is a bar) is open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., so don’t plan a late dinner. Side note: They also have an old Mortal Kombat II arcade game.
