"Tinker Bell and the Legend of the Neverbeast" comes out on Blu-Ray/DVD Combo Tuesday.

She’s back with another magical adventure. “Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast” is the newest movie in this popular video franchise from Disney.

We all know Tinker Bell from the Peter Pan movie, and for those of us who are old enough to remember, she introduced the Disney’s Wonderful World of Color TV show. She is an icon of the Disney Company.

“Tinker Bell” (2008), “Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure” (2009), “Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue” (2010), “Secret of the Wings” (2012), “The Pirate Fairy” (2014), and now “Tinker Bell and the Legend of the Neverbeast” are feature films filled with fun, magic, faith, trust and pixie dust.

Tink’s fairy friend Fawn is the focus of this film, along with a perfectly delightful, little — well, not so little — guy she names Gruff.

Gruff is a NeverBeast. What exactly is a NeverBeast? It’s a furry fellow who hibernates for 1,000 years, as the legend says, then is awakened by a green comet. The fairies all believe he has awoken to destroy Pixie Hollow, but Fawn knows better. She sees the good and kindness in Gruff and tries to save him from those who want to harm the big guy. Fawn loves all animals and understands that Gruff is a gentle soul. But can she make the others understand that too?

Mae Whitman continues to voice little Tinker Bell, and Ginnifer Goodwin voices Fawn. Rosario Dawson, Megan Hilty, Pamela Adion, Lucy Liu, Raven-Symone, and Angelica Huston also supply voices for this fun little movie. Although it is a nice little family film, it does have a bittersweet ending. No spoiler alert, though. Let’s just say no one is hurt or harmed at the end.

The combo pack includes a Blu-ray, a DVD, and a Digital HD code. Bonus features add to the fun of the story. One feature looks at the various components of the movie: story, design, sound, animation, and Gruff. Without Gruff there would be no story. Gruff is a compilation of several different animals and in another bonus feature Jeff Corwin looks at strange creatures in our world.

There is an additional feature about the animals in the Tinker Bell movies, as well as a cute little feature with young Calista Loter whose father Steve directed the film and co-wrote the story. Interestingly enough, Steve is apprehensive about large animals while little Calista runs up to every large dog she sees. That, in part, is how he came up with the story for this film. Some deleted scenes round out the bonus features.

While Tinker Bell is not the main fairy in this film, it is still a fun little movie for all her fans and fans of all the fairies in Pixie Hollow. The show stealer, of course, is Gruff. And, being great at merchandising, the folks at Disney have not missed an opportunity with Gruff. There is an adorable and fluffy stuffed Gruff available from The Disney Store. I won’t make any predictions, however I feel there will be a run on this item once people start seeing the movie!

“Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast” is pure fairy magic and fun for the entire family. It is available Tuesday on Combo Pack and single DVD.

Starting at $4.32/week.
