‘Pop Star Minnie’ rocks the stage
With several episodes from “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” as well as some bonus episodes, “Pop Star Minnie” is filled with fun and especially plenty of music. This popular Disney Junior series entertains and educates young minds.
The title episode, “Pop Star Minnie,” brings the gang together to celebrate Minnie’s first concert. She is so excited to sing in public, but when she looks for the instruments to figure out what kind of song she should sing, they are all missing. Who could have taken the instruments?
The group follows some tire tracks to search for all their missing instruments: Pluto’s maracas, Daisy’s flute, Goofy’s banjo, Donald’s harmonica, and Mickey’s drums. With the help of the Mouseke-tools, the gang locates their instruments and even a special electric guitar for Minnie, who has been in a quandary as to what kind of song to sing. She debated whether to sing a country song, a blues song, something with a mariachi flair, or a disco song. After all, disco does have a great beat. But when she gets the guitar she knows she is meant to sing a rock song. And Minnie Mouse rocks!
What makes this DVD a little more special for your kids is the inflatable pink guitar that comes inside the box. This is just the added incentive any little kid needs to jump up and join in with Minnie and the gang.
Music is front and center in this story. And, let’s not forget about Pete, who is a one-man band and learns that he cannot “borrow” the instruments without asking for permission first.
With all the songs and fun, kids will enjoy watching this over and over. And with their own little guitar, they can join in with the characters and even have their own concert.
The other episodes on the disc are “Mickey’s Clubhouse Rocks,” “Minnie and Daisy’s Flower Shower,” and “Minnie’s Mouseke-Calendar. The bonus episode is “Mickey’s Big Band Concert” as well as two stories from “Minnie’s Bow-Toons.”
“Pop Star Minnie” rocks onto store shelves Tuesday.
