Jenn Blosil, who was raised in Orem, got unanimous positive votes from the judges during her "American Idol" audition. She has now advanced to the Top 24 contestants.

Bathed in a soft magenta light and with eyebrows literally glittering, Orem’s Jenn Blosil took to the stage during Wednesday night’s episode of “American Idol” for what she would later learn was her last performance on the show.

This week’s episodes of the Farewell Season were all about the Top 10, and narrowing down the Top 14 — first by judges’ pick (basically a Top 10 fast pass for four performers), then by America’s vote.

First to make it into the Top 10 courtesy of the judges were Trent Harmon, Dalton Rapattoni, La’Porsha Renae and Olivia Rox, while the remaining 10 contestants were left waiting for results. Ultimately, Blosil came up short in the voting, despite her spot-on performance of Cyndi Lauper’s “True Colors,” and was eliminated along with Jeneve Rose Mitchell, Manny Torres and Thomas Stringfellow.

“I knew that you had it in you,” said judge Harry Connick Jr. following her performance of “True Colors.” “I had a problem with the way you sang ‘My Funny Valentine’ last week because I was hoping that you would have sung it like you sang this. In my opinion, that was a flawless lyric delivery. Flawless.”

Definitely Blosil’s most harsh critic in the competition so far, Connick Jr.’s remarks were a positive addition to a great performance, but not enough to keep her safe from the public vote.

“American Idol” will continue narrowing down contestants to the ultimate winner through the finale episode, which will air on FOX on April 7. You can check out Blosil’s last performance above, or, for mobile users, by following this link.

Starting at $4.32/week.
