One Voice Children’s Choir performs new song from Normandy beaches
The One Voice Children’s Choir published a new video this week, dedicated to the soldiers who fought in World War II at Normandy’s Utah, Omaha and Sword beaches in the D-Day invasion.
The video, posted to YouTube Thursday, features the choir singing “When You Believe” from the beaches of Normandy and from the Brittany American Cemetery and Memorial in Normandy. The choir sang verses of the song in English, Hebrew and French.
Along with the dedication to the soldiers who fought at Normandy, the group dedicated the song to the millions of Jewish victims who lost their lives during the Nazi Holocaust.
The One Voice Children’s Choir is comprised of youth from across the Wasatch Front.
The group began in 2002 as organization of youth singing at the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake. The group has grown immensely both in talent and size over the last decade, and has gained not only an impressive reputation, but also body of work.
