Tangie’s Cafe
The breakfast item that comes highest recommended is the breakfast bagel, which can come with ham, bacon or sausage, along with eggs and cheese. The French toast was simple and delicious, and came with slices of bacon the size of the forearms of many pre-teens I know. If there’s anything that can make a strip of bacon better, it’s definitely largeness.

Slapfish
Utah County isn’t exactly known as a seafood hot spot. Then along comes Slapfish, a fresh seafood chain from Southern California, and now I’m craving lobster meat and fried fish on the regular. The Lehi restaurant serves up creative takes on seafood classics — my personal favorite was the Clobster Grilled Cheese sandwich, which includes crab, lobster, chives, melted cheese and Slapfish’s special Jersey Sauce, all served on fluffy toasted white bread. Seriously so good.

Sidecar Cafe
I live my life based on the wise philosophy that if one has access to delicious breakfast foods, no matter what time of day or what else is on the menu, there is really only one option: That is, eat the breakfast foods. So I ordered the Waxer Waffle, which was downright heavenly. It was beautiful, flaky, buttery and cooked to perfection. The divots in the waffle make holding syrup easier, and if I could only recommend one thing from our whole visit, that would be it.
