Bring Your Own Cup Day returns to 7-Eleven for Black Friday, Nov. 23

By Kari Kenner daily Herald - | Nov 21, 2018

Though 7-Eleven is an annual hot spot on July 11 for Free Slurpee Day, you’re missing out if you’ve never hit up the popular gas station chain on Bring Your Own Cup Day.

Between stopping at all your favorite stores for their epic Black Friday deals, 7-Eleven is now inviting you and the community at large to add a dose of creativity to some significantly discounted Slurpee action.

According to a recent press release, on Friday, Nov. 23, customers are welcome to bring anything from a cookie jar to a punchbowl and fill it up with Slurpee-goodness for just $1.49.

“Many Slurpee fans will be out and about on the biggest shopping day of the year,” said Jacob Barnes, 7-Eleven senior category manager for proprietary beverages, in the press release. “With BYOC, they can fill up with their favorite Slurpee drink to keep them going, whether it’s back out with the crowds or back home to the couch.”

There is a slight catch though. The release notes that “All cups must be leak-proof, safe, sanitary and fit upright within the in-store BYOC display cutout, which is about 10 inches in diameter. Sorry, trash cans, kitchen sinks and sleighs are not eligible.”

The promotion will run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at all participating 7-Eleven locations, and will include an additional deal for 7Rewards members: from Black Friday to Cyber Monday, members can get a slice of pizza for just 50 cents per day through the 7-Eleven app.

For more details on the promotion, visit 7-eleven.com.

Starting at $4.32/week.
