Spanish Fork’s Teriyaki Madness leaves stomachs happy
Asian fusion chain Teriyaki Madness recently made its Utah debut with a new location in Spanish Fork, and not a moment too soon.
Teriyaki Madness is the perfect combination of fast and fresh Asian fare I didn’t know I needed.
I recently visited Teriyaki Madness with three family members, and we enjoyed eating dinner in the restaurant’s calm, cafe-style setting.
Teriyaki Madness’ menu centers on a variety of chicken, beef, tofu and noodle bowl options that come in three sizes with rice or noodles and veggies.
We spent a few minutes perusing the menu at the counter and decided to each order a different bowl in a combo that added a fountain drink and a salad for a few extra dollars, along with two appetizers to share.
I ordered the Beef Teriyaki bowl with noodles, which was probably my favorite of the entrees we tried. The beef was cut into thin, tender strips that tasted like they had been marinated in a sweet pineapple sauce. I’m a sucker for stir-fried noodles, and Teriyaki Madness’ soft and savory noodle side did not disappoint.
We also ordered a Chicken Teriyaki bowl, the restaurant’s most popular dish, with brown rice. The grilled chicken thigh was well cooked and seasoned, complementing the soft rice side nicely.
Teriyaki Madness’ Orange Chicken was delicious as well and holds its own against other versions of the dish we have tried. The tangy breaded chicken entree added a sweet accent to the backdrop of the warm white rice side it came with.
The Spicy Chicken we tried was smothered in a sauce that featured a healthy amount of spicy kick. We ordered this bowl with Teriyaki Madness’ fried rice, which was full of flavor and color.
The combo salad options were tasty, giving us the choice between a fresh green salad served with a tangy dressing and a savory mac salad made with small chunks of chicken breast.
We also enjoyed the serving of steamed veggies that came with each of our bowls, a fresh touch that added texture to our meals.
Teriyaki Madness’ bite-sized appetizers proved to be a great way to start off our dinner. We tried the Crab Rangoon appetizer, savory crab and cream cheese wontons served with sweet and sour sauce, and Chicken Potstickers, chicken and vegetable dumplings served with Gyoza sauce, and thoroughly enjoyed both.
We appreciated that every dish we tried was not only delicious but healthy, with reasonable calorie counts that left us feeling satisfied with leftovers to boot.
The service was excellent as well, and we appreciated our helpful server and how quickly our food came to the table after we placed our order.
Teriyaki Madness is a welcome addition to the cuisine in Utah County, and I’m anxious to return for another balanced and refreshing meal.
