The delightful British series “The Madame Blanc Mysteries” is finally back for a second season. This is a story of an antiques dealer from Britain who travels to a small village in France to figure out how her husband died. By the end of season two, viewers understand the circumstances of his death — since solving that mystery, though, Jean White (Blanc in French) has taken up residency in the small village and decided to stay.

White (Sally Lindsay, who also created and writes for series) has a small group of friends – it is a small village, after all. Having been a great help to the local police, (Alex Gaumond) White been retained to assist several times. Her expertise and determination come in handy to solve crimes and aid the department.

Her friend and local mechanic, Gloria (Sue Vincent, who also wrote several episodes), her best friend Dom (Steve Edge), the local rich couple Judith and Jeremy (Sue Holderness and Robin Askwith), and other eclectic characters reside in this little village and every one of them has their own personal situations and issues. However, when it comes to assisting the lovely and charming Jean White, everyone is eager to lend a hand.

In this season, besides putting an end to her husband’s death, Dom faces a rival cab driver, Cooper (Avant Strangel), who happens to be Gloria’s new boyfriend. Also in this season, Jean decides to open an antique store in town. After all, that is what she knows best — other than crime solving.
