Season Two of "Harry Wild," starring Jane Seymour, is now available on Acorn TV. Catch new episodes Mondays.

Season two of the Acorn TV drama “Harry Wild” has returned and starts off with a bang. Jane Seymour, a retired professor of literature, continues to get involved in solving crimes. Along with her young partner Fergus (Rohan Nedd) in the private investigation work, their collaboration leads to some pretty dangerous situations.

Due to their bravery, insight and cunning, the pair manage to solve some interesting crimes this season, beginning with the murder of the police chief. This being set in Dublin, Ireland, police are called Garda, where Harry’s son Charlie (Kevin Ryan) is a chief detective until (spoiler alert) he is promoted. Needless to say, Charlie is not too excited about his mother sticking her nose into police business, but he has to admit she gets results.

Another aspect coming into play this season is the appearance of Fergus’ mother, who has been out of the picture for over five years, leaving Fergus and his sister to survive with their alcoholic father. But why has she returned after such a long absence, and will Fergus accept her back into their lives? Does she have an ulterior reason for returning? What is her interest in the house where Fergus and his family reside?

While their personal lives carry on, Harry and Fergus are always intent on solving crimes. Charlie’s wife and daughter (Amy Huberman and Rose O’Neill) are also still in the picture. So the gang from Season One are together again to work out their personal relationships and their professional dramas.

Harriet “Harry” Wild is a no-nonsense woman. Her tenacity is matched only by her love of red wine.

Whether chasing down the murderer of the police chief or unraveling the mysteries of a devil-worshiping village, Harry and Fergus put their fears aside and get on with their investigations — even if that entails digging up old graves.

Seymour is not new to series TV, having starred in “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman” from 1993-1998. She has a long list of credits in television and films. Combining this veteran actress with the young Nedd makes a fun duo. With Harry’s maturity and intelligence and Fergus’ gusto for solving crimes, together they make quite a pair, to the chagrin of Charlie. But nevertheless, the crimes are always solved with the cute duo on the case.

“Harry Wild” returned to Acorn TV with the first two episodes of the season on Oct. 9, with new episodes premiering on consecutive Mondays.

Acorn TV is a division of AMC Networks, North America’s largest commercial-free streaming service dedicated to British and international programming.
