WondLa

The highly anticipated third installment of this animated trilogy is now available on Apple TV+. “WondLa” has captured the hearts and imaginations of viewers of all ages, and now the story comes to a close.

This final season is filled with all the colors, characters, and chaos that has been part of this animated sci-fi drama. In this third season, Eva is once again front and center in the action as she is tasked with retrieving the stolen Heart of the Forest and setting it deep into the earth (aka Orbona) to bring peace and tranquility to everyone.

There is a volatile war erupting between the aliens and the humans. And Eva’s sister, Eva 8, is also a contention during the story.

Eva regains her relationships with Rovender and Otto and the team is once again back together.

The evil Cadmus Pryde, who has been underhanded in his quest to control everyone and take the mantle of the hero and leader, shows that although he is evil there is potentially a good side to him.

All the excitement of the previous seasons culminates with Eva’s final task as she restores peace to the planet and brings aliens and humans together. As they say, “There is no ‘them.’ There is only us.” This is, perhaps, a great reflection on the world of today, with wars breaking out and people being pitted against each other. The lessons in this show could and should be adopted by the people of 2025 earth. It would be a nicer and happier place to live.

While everything is happening, there are some very sad and sentimental scenes, which might upset some viewers. There are some deaths which are upsetting to Eva and will be for many viewers. The series is rated TV-PG, so parents should take that into consideration. However, if kids have enjoyed the previous seasons, they will undoubtedly enjoy this one as well as there have been deaths in the prior seasons too.

The colors and creatures are mesmerizing. This is definitely a well-crafted show based on the popular book trilogy by Tony DiTerlizzi. For young adults who enjoyed the books, they will be delighted to see it all play out on screen. And for those who have not read the books but find the story engaging, perhaps they will want to read the books to get a better understanding of the entirety of the story.

Eva is a spirited and brave young heroine. This fantasy sci-fi story is creative and beautifully animated, and brings this heroine to viewers in an entertaining and inspiring way. Her wondrous journey is addicting to watch play out as she takes on one danger after another with the goal of bringing peace to everyone.

All seasons of the “WondLa” trilogy are now available to stream on Apple TV+. There are six episodes in this final season which, spoiler alert, does have Eva successfully bringing peace to the planet, aliens, and humans.

Starting at $4.32/week.
