Maggie Rogers brought her Summer of ’23 tour to the UCCU Center in Orem on Aug. 10. With the start of school just around the corner, fans lined up for what promised to be a memorable evening. Fans at the barricade spoke enthusiastically about their excitement for the show ahead, some even mentioning that they waited in line for over three hours to make sure they’d get to be at the front of the crowd.

From the moment Rogers came on stage, the audience was hooked. She told the crowd that to celebrate her first time being in Orem, she would be playing songs from both of her albums, and as a special treat she would include three new ones. She played a great mix of her popular hits and deep cuts, and masterfully found a way to include the crowd during her new songs by displaying the lyrics on the screen behind her so everyone could continue to sing along.

Rogers brought great energy to the stage, which the audience readily mirrored back to her. She had great interaction with the crowd throughout the night and it was obvious to all who watched her performance that she was having fun up there, dancing and singing along with her fellow bandmate. I was continuously blown away with how powerful and strong her vocals were. Going to a Maggie Rogers concert brings a feeling of nostalgia that makes the concertgoer feel as though they are reliving a happy and comforting memory.

The UCCU Center is home to many events. From Utah Valley University games to dances and concerts, there is always a lot going on. With more concerts coming up including The Band Camino on Sept. 30 and Need To Breathe on Oct. 30, there are lots of events that are not to be missed.
