Payson classic rock festival returning this weekend

This poster shows the band lineup for the Here Comes the Sun festival in Payson, to be held Friday and Saturday, June 29-30, 2024.The annual Here Comes the Sun rock festival is returning to Payson for a fourth year, with the festival being held Friday and Saturday.
The festival, put on by the Utah Live Concerts Foundation, will feature a host of bands at Payson Memorial Park. The event is free to the public and suitable for all ages.
Bands will begin performing at 2 p.m. Friday, and a new band will start each hour, with the day ending at 9 p.m.
Saturday’s lineup starts at 9:20 a.m. with a flag ceremony in the park and performances starting at 9:30 a.m. Bands will perform into the evening, ending at about 10 p.m. About 19 different local bands are slated to appear between the two days.
There also will be various food trucks and vendors, as well as prize giveaways from festival sponsors.
Some of the bands performing will be youth rock bands from Springville’s Olde Main Studios Real Rock Band program.
The classic rock festival first began in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic and has been an annual occurrence since then.
