OREM — Western Heating and Air and FM100.3 joined forces this week to bring the Gift of Heat to a family in need. The giveaway, which ran from Oct. 26 to Nov. 15, offered one new furnace to Rebecca and James Jensen, a family in dire need of better heating in their home. The furnace was delivered by representatives from Western Heating and Air and FM100.3 on Monday.

“We are so grateful to be able to bring the Gift of Heat to a family in need this year,” stated Ryan Snow, owner and president of Western Heating and Air. “It has not been an easy year for a lot of families, and we had a really hard time picking just one. We’re just happy to be in a position to continue this yearly tradition of giving back to the community.”

The family in need was nominated by Julie Slack. “It’s my sister’s family. They have had such a tough year already with flooding in their home, which displaced them for weeks,” said Julie. “Their son has autism and struggles to live in other places so they really struggled to manage that whole situation. Then with COVID and a car accident that left my sister injured, they have just been in real need this year. I was heartbroken when their heater went out this fall and there was no money to fix it.”

Western Heating and Air and FM100.3 gathered on Monday to surprise the family with:

  • A brand-new furnace, installed by Western technicians.
  • Gifts for the children.
  • Gift baskets for the parents.

“This partnership with Western Heating and Air has become one of the highlights of our holiday season,” said Dallas Osborne, one of the representatives from FM100.3. “It makes such a difference in the lives of these families and there’s usually a lot of happy tears.”

Starting at $4.32/week.
