Payson Senior Named to Academic All-State Team
The 4A state championship basketball game brought with it lots of excitement for the schools and students who participated in the event, and it was exciting for another group of students who were honored during half-time as they were named to the academic all-state team.
Mckay Massey, a senior at Payson High School and a member of the Payson boy’s basketball team, was named to the team during half-time on Saturday, March 3. Students are chosen for the honor based on their athletic ability as well as their performance in school and their GPA. Members of the team included basketball players from across the state who maintained such high GPA’s that the combined GPA for the team was 3.99.
Those honored were presented with a plaque for their achievements.
