Terry Eldon Clark

1935 ~ 2014

Terry Eldon Clark passed away peacefully at his home in Pacific Palisades, CA on February 14, 2014 with his wife by his side after a brief illness. He lived a full and vibrant life up until his death.

He was born in Springville, UT on April 8, 1935 to Eldon Henry and Donna Park Clark. Growing up he had fond memories of hunting and fishing with his family along with the adventures of cutting Christmas trees for the winter family business.

After graduating from Provo High School, he served two years in the U.S. Army in the in the Pacific Northwest. He attended BYU earning a degree in Business Management and began a career in Southern California as a sales representative in the clothing apparel business. Eventually he became a successful real estate investor.

Terry was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a two year mission in New Zealand. He was a missionary throughout his life and was not afraid to share the gospel with everyone he met.

He was also a great athlete, playing baseball at a young age and acquiring a love of all sports. He became an avid skier, aggressive tennis player, and was especially skilled at playing racquetball; a game he passionately played up until his death. He loved watching all BYU sports and was a devoted and frustrated fan of BYU basketball.

Terry married the love of his life, Tyree Gilfoil, after patiently waiting ten years for her to say, “yes”!

He is survived by his loving wife, Tyree; brothers, Stephen and Rand (Deborah); and sister, Joy (David) Atkinson along with much loved nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Linda Clark.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, 185 East Center Street, Provo, Utah.
