The Orchard at University Place, Orem, Aug. 16, 7 p.m.

Get ready for an evening of wonderful music covering a wide range of sources, highlighted by the amazing talents of Alex Boyé. The official website says: “Bring your blankets and chairs and enjoy music from: Hamilton, The Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars, Saint-Saens, Rossini, and more!”

2. Rowley’s Red Barn Sunflower Festival 2025

Rowley’s Red Barn, Santaquin, 5:30-8:30 p.m. (Aug. 9-24)

You may not think of August as a time for seeing the flower, but that’s not the case at Rowley’s Red Barn in Santaquin. This is the perfect time to check out the brilliant yellows of a field of sunflowers. “The brilliance of the sunflower bloom surprises us each year. Come enjoy the bright colors of summer during the Sunflower Festival!” the website says.

3. Storytelling Monday

Provo Pioneer Village, Provo, Aug. 11, 6:30 p.m.

Every Monday is a time to gather in Provo and get caught up in tales told by master storytellers. This week it will be Mary Hokanson that will whisk you back in time and immerse you in the experiences of their characters. The Provo Pioneer Village website says, “Get ready for some captivating tales!”
