By Staff | Nov 15, 2025

The full Utah Valley calendar of events is on L4, but here are three local events you should check out this week:

1. Holiday lighting events

The Shops At Riverwoods, Nov. 21, 6-8 p.m./University Place Orem, Nov. 17, 6-8 p.m.

With Thanksgiving just around the corner and the Christmas season in full swing, it’s time to light up locations across Utah Valley. Two of the places to be are the 2025 Orchard Lighting Event at University Place in Orem (“Enjoy a fun and festive evening as we turn on our Christmas Lights for the 1st time of the season, along with live music and fireworks,” the venue website says) and the Lighting of Riverwoods 2025 at the Riverwoods in Provo (“Enjoy a festive night as we light over 1.5 million lights to welcome the holiday season! Join us for live entertainment, life-sized photo ops, and fireworks,” the website says).

Bean Life Science Museum, Nov. 22, 6-9 p.m.

Take a break from all of the holiday decorating and preparation by enjoying an old-fashioned mystery dinner night. BYU’s Bean Life Science Museum is hosting the event, which it describes by saying: “Join us for our popular Mystery Night and enjoy an evening of mystery and fun! Price is $25 per person ($15 for BYU students) and dinner is included. The event will be themed around the movie and board game, “Clue”; costumes are encouraged but not required.”

3. ‘Flowers for Mrs. Harris’

The Ruth and Nathan Hale Theater, Nov. 15, 7:30 p.m.

It’s the final dyay for this delightful musical, so you better act fast if you want to check it out. The theater website describes it by saying: “A charming new musical based on the book that also inspired the beloved film Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris! When housekeeper Ada Harris discovers something breathtaking, she sets off on a journey that will change her life. From post-war London to magical Paris, Ada’s presence transforms others, yet she grapples with releasing her past. Can she allow her life to bloom?”
