The full Utah Valley calendar of events is on L4, but here are three local events you should check out this week:
1. Ghosts of Camp Floyd
Camp Floyd State Park, Cedar Valley, Oct. 4/10, 7-9 p.m.
Sure, modern haunted houses are fun — but there is a charm to going to a historic location and seeing if you can really spot some supernatural phenomenon. That’s what you can do at Camp Floyd, where the website says: “Is Camp Floyd haunted? The public is invited to participate in a paranormal investigation of Camp Floyd. A brief presentation will be conducted to familiarize participants with paranormal investigating techniques and findings as the investigation starts. All participants will be invited to present their findings at the conclusion of the investigation and will have the opportunity of viewing photographs along with other paranormal evidence gathered at this historic site.”

2. Concert for a Cause with Alex Boyé
Walker Farms, Lindon, Oct. 6, 6 p.m.
According to the website, the mission of Family Haven is “to build a community of healthy, happy individuals and families through education and the prevention and treatment of child abuse, trauma and other personal and family concerns.” To support their efforts, make the trip to Walker Farms for the Concert for a Cause with Alex Boyé and make a difference while enjoying an evening of great music.

3. Sundance Oktoberfest 2025
Sundance Resort, Provo, Oct. 4-5, 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m.
It’s a beautiful time to be in the mountains and Sundance Resort’s annual Oktoberfest is just another reason to go enjoy being up Provo Canyon. The venue’s website says: “Join us for our annual Oktoberfest celebration at The Foundry Grill and The Owl Bar during lunch hours. Savor a German-inspired menu paired with freshly imported brews from Germany and a selection of local beers.”
