The full Utah Valley calendar of events is on L4, but here are three local events you should check out this week:

1. 2026 Utah County Fair and Rodeo

Spanish Fork Fairgrounds, July 27-Aug. 1, all day

Years of work culminate in the annual county fair where there is an amazing collection of activities and showcases. Two of the highlights every year are the rodeo and the demolition derby, which are often highly-sought-after tickets. The event website says: “Where tradition meets innovation. Experience Utah County’s most spectacular celebration nestled at the foot of the beautiful Wasatch Mountains” and “The Utah County Fair is perfect for all ages! Check out the petting zoo, kids games, inflatables, live entertainment, and educational exhibits throughout the fairgrounds.”

2. 2026 Payson Salmon Supper

Payson Memorial Park, Aug. 7, 4-8 p.m.

If you got tickets to this annual event in Payson, consider yourself lucky because it always sells out — and for good reason. The city website says: “This year’s supper will include Salmon, grilled over dried fruit wood fires, baked potato, corn on the cob, salad, roll, and a cookie! Plus, we will have the return of our souvenir booth and the usual great entertainment throughout the evening!” If you can’t make it to Payson (or didn’t get tickets), there are plenty of city celebrations to enjoy in Lindon, Salem, Santaquin, Highland and Alpine.

3. Hoot & Holler Festival

Sundance Resort, Provo, Aug. 8, 7 p.m.

How can anyone resist an event called “Hoot and Holler”? It will be an evening of entertainment at Sundance, whose website says: “NEW this year! Hoot & Holler Fest is coming–and it’s going to be an unforgettable night of music and fun. Join us for a high-energy concert featuring Michelle Moonshine & Co, James Hardy & The Fire, and Bad Frances. The performance begins at 7 PM, so come early and get ready to sing along, dance, and celebrate under the open sky with the Owl Bar sound you love!”
