Utah Valley Living: 3 events to check out this week (July 25-Aug. 2)

The full Utah Valley calendar of events is on L4, but here are three local events you should check out this week:

1. 2026 Utah County Fair and Rodeo

Spanish Fork Fairgrounds, July 27-Aug. 1, all day

Years of work culminate in the annual county fair where there is an amazing collection of activities and showcases. Two of the highlights every year are the rodeo and the demolition derby, which are often highly-sought-after tickets. The event website says: “Where tradition meets innovation. Experience Utah County’s most spectacular celebration nestled at the foot of the beautiful Wasatch Mountains” and “The Utah County Fair is perfect for all ages! Check out the petting zoo, kids games, inflatables, live entertainment, and educational exhibits throughout the fairgrounds.”

2. 2026 Spanish Fork Fiesta Days

It’s going to be a week of fun in Spanish Fork, starting with the SFPyro fireworks show on July 18 and going through the street dance on July 25. And, of course, there is the rodeo. The city website says: “Come enjoy the 84th Annual Spanish Fork Fiesta Days Rodeo! This world-class event is a stop on the PRCA ProRodeo Tour. World champions compete using a back-to-back format. The twelve best contestants during each morning slack will move to the evening’s performance – allowing you to see event champions every night. This makes each night exciting and different, so bring the whole family and join in on the western fun all week long!”

3. 2026 Steel Days

Various locations in American Fork, July 25, all day

American Fork puts on an extensive collection of activities and events during its annual Steel Days celebration, which has been the city’s big summer party since 1945. While it has added numerous new events in recent years, one of the classics is the combination car show, car cruise and burnout contest, scheduled this year at Rotary Park on July 18. The event website says: “Whether you’re a serious car enthusiast or simply enjoy seeing amazing vehicles up close, the Steel Days Car Show offers something for everyone. Walk through rows of stunning rides, meet passionate car owners, and enjoy a relaxed summer atmosphere as the community comes together to celebrate automotive culture. Whether you’ve celebrated Steel Days for years or are joining us for the first time, we invite you to come enjoy the fun, connect with neighbors, and make lasting memories with us!”
