Applications will be evaluated on academic achievements, athletic participation, sportsmanship and service to school and community. The scholarship will be awarded each spring to the senior who meets these qualifications.

Many members of the community had the opportunity of being taught or coached by Newbury. He possesses the unique ability to build confidence and influence students/athletes to succeed in life.
