“The world is round and the place which may seem like the end may also be only the beginning,” a quote from Ivy Baker Priest, will be the theme of the 2010 graduation.

“Pomp and Circumstance” will be played by the Springville High School Orchestra, directed by Sam Tsugawa, as the graduates march to their seats. Senior Class President Connor Snyder will lead the Pledge of Allegiance and welcome those attending.

Tsugawa will present the Outstanding Service Award to Springville citizen Francien Jones.

This year’s Salutatorian, Rachel M. Anderson, and Valedictorian Calvin M. Clark will speak, as well as Rod Oldroyd, a member of the Nebo School Board of Education.

A musical number will be presented by the SHS Concert Choir and Vivace, “Open the Door for the Children” by Kurt Bestor, directed by Leanna Crockett; and the SHS Philharmonic Orchestra will play “The Ascension” from Symphony No. 1 The Divine Comedy by Robert W. Smith.

SHS Principal John DeGraffenried will present the Class of 2010, and Rod Oldroyd will award the diplomas to the graduates.
