During these years we have rented to both single men and beginning families. This extra income made it possible for us to finance our three sons and our three daughters on LDS missions, and to help them obtain college degrees. These years of renting also provided us the opportunity to be good role models for young people, many of whom were away from home for the first time. We still treasure the many friendship that resulted from these years of renting experience.

I recently learned that what we have been doing is in violation of the Provo City Residential Zoning Codes. At church on Sunday we are taught to be good neighbors. We are also taught to do unto others, as we would have others do unto us.

This is perplexing. Would someone tell me how I can practice my religion in Provo, without breaking the law?
