As I read this morning’s paper about those who have applied to finish Mayor Washburn’s term, the “Center For Story” jumped off the page and choked me as it always does. I detest the name, not necessarily the concept. The idea that something designed to improve literacy in Utah Valley should have such a grammatically incorrect name is appalling to me. Could it be called the “Center For Story Telling,” or even better, “The Washburn Memorial Center For Story Telling”? Just a thought.
