A recent Herald Poll asked about a proposed tax increase on sodas and other sweet drinks. Among the responses:
Where to stop?
So if the intent is to make us healthier, let’s tax everything. Perhaps a tax on iPods, iPads, laptop and desk top computers, the list goes on and on. Kids are getting fat because they are not physically active. Tax everything that keeps them sitting on their butt rather than getting up and, perish the thought, work and exercise. There is way too much government in our lives.
