We are essentially voting to obligate our neighbors to pay for something we personally want. I can count at least 10 households within a two-block distance any direction (not counting duplexes) who cannot afford or benefit from such an expense, especially for a recreation center.

I cannot vote in good conscience to encumber them even if I personally could afford it. Please vote your conscience next week and remember the burden your vote lifts, or adds, to a neighbor for whom an added fee on top of another added fee and another is just too much!
