As toddlers played, some parents watched, amazed, while tumbling tots instructor Janice Lange led a group of young children through a variety of activities exploring body movement, motor skills, tumbling and exercise.

“My husband and I are the most uncoordinated people, so seeing her do this at such a young age is really surprising,” Sarah Groneman said after attending the class with daughter Sadie, 3.

Some children seemed a little timid at first, unsure of the exercises including hand stands, forward rolls, hanging upside down from a high bar and jumping on a small trampoline.

But with the help of Lange and their parents, the children were soon happily exploring all the activities with the class, testing their coordination and improving their hand-eye coordination in a friendly, fun atmosphere.
